Matthew McGuire

Matthew is third generation of the McGuire family, involved in racing, and was always keen to keep the family tradition.  

Seeing his first winner, Cinematography, carrying his Grandmother’s silks to victory, has been one of Matthew’s highlights – and he’s keen to add more. 

“I always wanted to become a horse trainer just like the rest of my family, and share the same experiences and success.”

Matthew uses one particular piece of his father’s advice, as the cornerstone of this training operation. 

“Keep your horses happy and healthy”

“Having one on one time with the horses is imperative.”

“I like to get my hands dirty and try and interact with the horses as much as possible.”

“The more I can learn about each horse the more knowledge I will be able to apply into that horses training and preparation for racing.”
